Five Times Tyra Banks Embarrassed Herself On ‘Dancing With The Stars’

Fans of Dancing With The Stars were never shy to express their displeasure over Tyra Banks’ chaotic hosting. For three seasons, the supermodel has received online backlash after committing a blunder on live television. And, while Banks is now out of the dance-competition series, the public has perhaps not forgotten about her embarrassing moments.

1. When She Called Len Goodman “Papa”
Back during the Elvis’ Night episode, Banks accidentally neglected to ask the head judge for his comment on Trevor Donovan and Emma Slater’s Rumba. Feeling the need to apologize, the supermodel said, “I got so excited I forgot about Papa. Papa, I’m sorry.”
2. When She Acted Overheated
Apparently, the 90’s Night episode of DWTS had been filled with males taking off their shirts. After Gabby Windey and Val Chmerkovskiy performed on stage, judge Derek Hough naughtily joined the fun, propelling Banks to be overheated by such move. Awkwardly, she went in front of the judges, unintentionally blocking the panel as they were giving scores.
3. When She Ate Shangela’s Crispy Chicken Leg
Asked to deliver “crispier legs” during her Tango, Shangela took Goodman’s advice during the Michael Bublé Night. Bringing her humor to the competition, the drag queen served her mother’s homemade crispy chicken legs, then giving an extra piece to Banks. In a clumsy move, Banks ate the chicken on live television and inelegantly encouraged the panel to try it.
4. When She Commented on Charli D’Amelio’s Neck
After Mark Ballas and Charli D’Amelie received the judges’ critiques during Elvis Night, Banks managed to slide an uncomfortable side comment. The supermodel said, “I love your neck. You have the most beautiful neck in the world. I love it.” Such weird remark didn’t sit well with almost everyone, with Banks immediately receiving backlash on social media.
In addition, throughout the season, Banks couldn’t seem to get D’Amelio’s boyfriends name right. Her boyfriend, Landon Barker, was acknowledged as Logan on multiple occasions.
5. When Len Goodman Humbled Her
Back during Halloween Night of the competition, Banks successfully disappointed the public once more. She made joke about Goodman, saying that “the audience kind of make a sound when Len said that he was transported to a club in Argentina,” and proceeded to dance with the background music. Goodman, obviously, wasn’t happy with her statement, then responding “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” She attempted to explain the joke to the head judge but was nonetheless dismissed.
I couldn’t be happier that Tyra is gone!
Wasn’t she only there bcuz she was part producer of the show or something.
