‘Canada’s Got Talent’ Awards One Last Golden Buzzer as Auditions Wrap Up

Canada’s Got Talent returned on Tuesday night for the final episode of auditions. During the show, an impressive dance crew earned the group Golden Buzzer from the judges, who determined which Top 14 acts should move on to the Eliminations round of the competition.

During Tuesday’s new episode, a huge group from Toronto called Funkyverse took the stage to show off their style of street dance. They shared that they would use the show’s prize money to pay for a better space to practice.
For their performance, the group delivered a dynamic dance routine that showed off impressive synchronization and even a little magic. The audition had the audience dancing, and it earned a standing ovation from the judges.
The crowd chanted for the Golden Buzzer, prompting judge Howie Mandel to call host Lindsay Ell down to the judges’ table. The judges and host agreed to give Funkyverse the group Golden Buzzer, sending them straight into the next round and earning them a prize of $25,000 from CIBC.

Judges Decide Top 14 Acts to Move On
During Tuesday’s show, the CGT judges also decided the Top 14 acts to move on to the next round. That includes six Golden Buzzer acts, as well as eight others who impressed the panel enough to keep going in the competition.
The Golden Buzzer acts who are moving on include singer Carsim Birmingham (Kardinal Offishall’s choice), singer Jacob Lewis (Shania Twain’s choice), comedian Darren Leo (Katherine Ryan’s choice), singer Nicolina (host Lindsay Ell’s choice), singer DeeDee Austin (Howie Mandel’s choice), and dance crew Funkyverse (the group choice).
Rounding out the Top 14 acts are dance group TwoFourSeven, music duo the Martin Boys, comedian Sai Kit Lo, drone act Illumin, magician Ben Kahan, jump roping group the Jambo Brothers, strong man Tulga, and variety act Chantaaaal.
