Reading Time: 2 minutes
The Voice Season 27 returned on Monday night for the first part of the Playoffs, as the remaining artists on Adam Levine and Kelsea Ballerini’s teams performed for their chance to advance to the live shows. LeAnn Rimes and Sheryl Crow served as advisors.
Who Made It Through The Voice Playoffs Night 1?
During Monday’s episode, the five remaining artists on Team Adam and Team Kelsea took the stage for their chance to move on. The coaches were only able to keep two singers on each of their teams, meaning six singers had to leave the competition at the end of the night.
Adam Levine chose to keep Lucia Flores-Wiseman and Kolby Cordell on his team. Lucia impressed with an acoustic cover of “In My Life” by the Beatles, while Kolby brought a great energy and stage presence to “Finesse” by Bruno Mars.
Kelsea Ballerini chose to keep Iris Herrera and Alanna Lynise on her team. Iris performed a powerhouse rendition of “White Horse” by Chris Stapleton, while Alanna brought beautiful emotion to a cover of “Nobody Gets Me” by SZA.
Lucia, Kolby, Iris, and Alanna will be moving on to the live shows, which will feature a total of eight artists. Team Legend and Team Bublé will perform during Tuesday night’s show for their chance to move on.

Who Was Eliminated from the Show?
Six artists were eliminated from the competition on Monday night, meaning we had to say goodbye to some talented people, including Britton Moore on Team Adam. The singer turned four chairs in his audition, but his cover of “Somewhere Only We Know” by Keane wasn’t enough to take him to the live shows.
In fact, all three of the eliminated artists on Levine’s team were four-chair turns in their auditions. That includes Conor James, who sang “Pink Pony Club” by Chappell Roan, as well as Ethan Eckenroad, who covered “The Night We Met” by Lord Huron.
As for Kelsea Ballerini, she chose to eliminate Jaelen Johnston, who sang “If You’re Reading This” by Tim McGraw, as well as Tinika Wyatt, who sang “I Can Only Imagine” by MercyMe, and Darius J, who took on “Hey Ya!” by Outkast.
