Reading Time: 3 minutes
After entering The Voice as coach, Niall Horan quickly became a fan-favorite due to his talent and personality. He further cemented his image on the NBC show when he consecutively won season 23 and season 24, proving he’s more than just his face and musical talent.
Unfortunately, Horan decided not to return to the show in Seasons 25 or 26. This left fans sad, hoping that he’d return in the near future.
Niall Horan Was Very Successful on The Voice
Ahead of the season, fans knew Horan would be included in Spring 2023. He and other former coach Chance The Rapper were welcomed with open arms to the show. Even though Horan was a beginning in Season 23, the “Slow Hands” singer navigated the music competition with grace. He even ended up winning the season with singer Gina Miles.
During his first season, the former One Direction member was able to develop chemistry with now-retired coach Blake Shelton. Their father-and-son relationship instantly made fans obsessed. In turn, it made Horan more likeable as a coach.
When Shelton left the show, Horan didn’t lose any of his charisma. He fought well against other coaches, and exchanged funny moments with them.
After winning his first season as a coach, the former One Direction singer was ready to make his mark again. Amazingly, he won Season 24 with singer Huntley.
One may argue that Horan’s win was significantly contributed by his huge fanbase. Nonetheless, there’s no denying that he proved his talent and credibility as coach… even after just one season. Horan attracted support from younger audiences during his starting season, but has speedily gained more from a wider demographic because of his own unique approach.
Fans Want Him to Come Back for the Next Seasons
Fans are hoping that Horan’s absence will only be temporary on The Voice. On Reddit, while talking about the upcoming season, several fans expressed their desire to see more of Horan on the show.
“The producers should offer Niall a deal he can’t refuse and make him a staple like Blake was. Niall was funny, quick, relaxed and picked the best songs,” one person wrote.
“Niall is fantastic and I’ll definitely miss him. He may genuinely be the best coach this show has ever had and the show would be very stupid to not bring him back,” another person wrote.
“Niall was amazing,” one fan wrote. “I will definitely miss him, grew up on 1D but didn’t get into him as a solo artist until he joined The Voice. I hope he comes back once he finishes his tour, but that’s over a year away.”
While fans will be missing Horan, they are nevertheless hopeful for the new lineup of coaches for season 27. The upcoming season will feature Michael Bublé, John Legend, Adam Levine, and Kelsea Ballerini.
