Reading Time: 5 minutes

The premiere of Season 6 of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars is just one week away. Since the very first season of RuPaul’s Drag Race aired in 2009 on Logo, there have been some seriously unforgettable moments that have left us gob-smacked. From the stunning fashion looks that strut down the runways, to lip-sync assassins taking over the stage, the show is pure magic.

Best ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ Moments of All Time

1. ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 2’ Final Four Perform ‘Read U Wrote U’

The RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 2 finale challenged the remaining four contestants to perform in a girl group. Roxxxy Andrews, Katya, Detox, and Alaska did not disappoint with their rendition of RuPaul’s “Read U Wrote U.” Each queen nailed their intricate choreography. Alaska’s verse had all of the judges cackling out loud. Katya performed her verse in a Russian accent. She left RuPaul’s jaw open when she took on some terrifying lifts with the background dancers. Alaska was crowned the winner of the season after this masterful performance.

2. Yvie Oddly and Brooke Lynn Hytes Slay Their Demi Lovato Lip Sync

Yvie Oddly and Brooke Lynn Hytes were the two frontrunners on Season 11 of RuPaul’s Drag Race. When they both found themselves in the bottom two after disastrous Snatch Game performances, fans waited to see how they would battle it out in the lip sync. They turned it out to Demi Lovato’s “Sorry Not Sorry.” Yvie had a wig reveal doing a front walkover. Brooke followed close behind with some gymnastics of her own. They both did headstands during the chorus of the song, solidifying that neither of them would be eliminated that night. This is easily the best lip sync in RuPaul’s Drag Race history.

3. Adore Delano Utters Her Signature Catchphrase

If there’s one thing that fans of RuPaul’s Drag Race remember from Season 6, it’s “party.” Adore Delano auditioned for American Idol and made it all the way to the live shows in 2008. She began drag years later and landed a spot on the coveted drag competition show. Throughout the season, Adore had fans wrapped around her finger with her hilarious personality and signature catchphrase, “party.” She made it all the way to the finale but lost out on the crown to Bianca Del Rio.

4. Jan Becomes An Internet Meme During the Madonna Challenge

Jan is on the cast for the sixth season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars after being robbed in Season 12. During the Madonna: Unauthorized Rusical challenge, Jan thought she had it in the bag. The theater queen was easily the best singer and dancer of the bunch and totally embodied the spirit of Madonna on the stage. When RuPaul revealed that Jan was safe and not the winner of the challenge, disappointment could be read all over her face. She became a huge meme on all social media platforms. It worked out for her though because she was able to capitalize on it and come out with a line of merch inspired by her meme.

5. The Most Iconic ‘Drag Race’ Fight of All Time

The first season of Rupaul’s Drag Race All Stars was chaotic, but that’s what made it so entertaining. A huge part of the show is the little tiffs that the queens get into and the drama stirs over the course of the season. This was the case when the entire cast went toe to toe with Mimi Imfurst in the Untucked lounge. The fight was a bit childish and totally uncalled for, but Tammie Brown’s commentary had us living. Tammie randomly saying “Well come on Teletubby, teleport us to Mars” was epic.

6. Miss Vanjie Goes Viral After Being the First Queen Eliminated

If you walk into a room full of RuPaul’s Drag Race fans and yell “Miss Vanjie,” they will instinctively know to yell it back. Vanessa Vanjie Mateo only lasted through one episode of Season 10, but she sure did know how to make a lasting impression on the world. During her elimination, she exited the runway repeating “Miss Vanjie.” For the rest of the season, the queens and the judges found themselves uttering the catchphrase. RuPaul even wore a “Vanjie” necklace to a red carpet event. Vanjie became a global phenomenon to the point where RuPaul brought her back to compete again in Season 11.

7. Season 13 Winner Symone’s Runway Looks Mesmerize the Entire World

Symone is the reigning RuPaul’s Drag Race winner walking away with the crown in Season 13. Her runway looks proved that she is a major force when it comes to fashion along with being a true comedy queen. For the Fascinating Fascinators challenge, Symone went for an all-white look with “Say Their Names” etched on the back. In the Trains For Days challenge, Symone wore a teal and pink durag, a look that fans fell in love with. Her finale looks were also all stunning and showcased every bit of her personality.

8. Sasha Velour Makes Rose Petals Fall Out of Her Wig

The queens on RuPaul’s Drag Race always find new ways to make wig reveals even more surprising. Sasha Velour stepped it up a notch at the Season 9 finale in her lip-sync against Shea Couleé. The pair performed Whitney Houston’s “So Emotional.” Sasha lifted her wig to set off a cascade of rose petals, something that we still can’t get out of our heads. She set the standard for finale performances before walking away with the crown.

We can’t wait to see more beauty and drama when All Stars premieres next week. What is your favorite RuPaul’s Drag Race moment of all time?
