It’s been a 20-year career full of huge milestones for Blake Shelton. His 2016 album, If I’m Honest, just went platinum, marking more than 13 million career album awards for The Voice coach. If I’m Honest topped the Billboard US Top Country Albums chart when it was first released. The album features the duet, “Go Ahead and Break My Heart,” with Gwen Stefani.

Blake Shelton’s ‘If I’m Honest’ Album Reaches New Milestone Ahead of CMA Awards Performance

If I’m Honest is by far the most personal and raw album that Shelton has released thus far. It is a combination of a breakup album and an album about finding new love. Shelton and ex-wife Miranda Lambert split in 2015. He and Stefani bonded over their similar experiences with divorce on The Voice. This developed into a romantic relationship between them that eventually led to a gorgeous Oklahoma wedding this July.

The wedding was the talk of the town because of the song Shelton performed at the ceremony for Stefani. Shelton released his 12th studio album this year called Body Language. The wedding song will be released as a bonus track on the deluxe edition of Body Language available on Dec. 3.

Shelton also recently celebrated his 27th and 28th Country Airplay No. 1 singles, “Nobody But You” and “Happy Anywhere,” both featuring Stefani. He was gifted a giant plaque from the Recording Industry Association of America that mapped out all of his achievements last month.

As if fans needed further proof that Shelton is dominating country music, he was just announced as one of the performers for the 2021 CMA Awards. The ceremony will take place on Nov. 10 at 8/7 CT on ABC. He is expected to perform a song from Body Language. What are the chances that he will perform the wedding song that he wrote for Stefani? Seeing a vulnerable side of Shelton up on that stage would be incredible.

Shelton’s buddy Luke Bryan will be hosting the show for the first time ever. Jimmie Allen, Mickey Guyton, Eric Church, Brothers Osborne, Dan + Shay, Carly Pearce, and Ashley McBryde were also announced as performers. More performers and presenters are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
