Former Dancing with the Stars pro dancer Cheryl Burke recently revealed her favorite celebrity partners from over the years. She shared that she especially enjoys dancing with reality stars.
Cheryl Burke Shares Her Favorite DWTS Partners
During a recent episode of her podcast Sex, Lies, and Spray Tans, Burke answered questions from fans. One fan asked her to share her favorite celebrity partners from her time on the show. Burke said she “had the most fun” with Jack Osbourne and Rob Kardashian.
Burke admitted that her expectations were not high going into dancing with both stars, but they surprised her. She said she initially thought of them as “spoiled brats” based on their public personas on reality shows.
“These two men, they’re totally not what you would expect, especially nowadays. Jack is sober,” Burke said. “I love the fact that we got along, and they didn’t take themselves too seriously.”
Burke explained that she enjoyed dancing with reality stars, because “they’re so used to cameras in their face, that they don’t try and be another person.” She said she was glad that she made it to the Finals with both stars even though “people were betting against us.”
Burke was also asked which of her fellow pros she most enjoyed dancing with. She mentioned former pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy, even though she admitted that “things have gotten a little awkward between us.”
“We come from a similar background as far as training goes. We both know each other from the competition world,” Burke explained. “But I have to say, he is a great lead. He definitely knows what he wants, and he definitely isn’t selfish when ballroom dancing.”
Burke’s reference to the awkwardness between her and Chmerkovskiy is likely a reference to his recent comments about her podcast. Chmerkovskiy called the project “so vile, and so dirty, and so negative” and told Burke to “move on.”
Burke launched the Sex, Lies, and Spray Tans podcast after leaving DWTS. She interviews past pros and celebrities and shares her thoughts on the current seasons. Burke doesn’t hold back in expressing her honest opinions.
