‘The Voice’ Live Shows Kick Off — Who Made It to the Finale?
Reading Time: 2 minutes
The Voice Season 26 finally kicked off live shows this week, as the Top 8 took the stage for America’s vote on Monday night. On Tuesday, three artists were eliminated. The Top 5 will now move on to next week’s two-night finale.
The Voice Top 8 Perform in the Live Semifinals
Each of the show’s four coaches had two artists in the Top 8. They performed on Monday night for their chance to earn America’s votes and move on to the finale. On Tuesday night, host Carson Daly shared the results.
Four artists were saved by America’s votes from Monday night. They included Sofronio Vasquez of Team Bublé, who wowed everyone with his performance of “If I Can Dream” by Elvis Presley. Team Gwen’s Sydney Sterlace also made it through after Monday’s performance of “When the Party’s Over” by Billie Eilish.
Jeremy Beloate of Team Snoop also earned enough votes to move on to the finale, after his performance of “I (Who Have Nothing).” Michael Bublé earned a second artist in the finale with Shye, who made it through with her performance of “The Joke” by Brandi Carlile.
On Monday’s episode, the artists also teamed up to perform duets to songs by this season’s Mega Mentor Sting, who was on hand to play bass for the performances. Songs included “Roxanne” and “Every Breath You Take.”

Who Was Eliminated?
Tuesday’s results episode featured Last Chance performances from the four artists who didn’t automatically move on from America’s vote. Only one of them could move on to the finale. That artist was Danny Joseph on Reba McEntire’s team.
On Monday’s show, Danny performed “I Was Wrong” by Chris Stapleton. For his Last Chance performance, he covered “House of the Rising Sun” by The Animals. It earned enough votes to send him to the finale.
Danny’s addition to the Top 5 means that all four coaches have an artist in the finale — with Bublé boasting two. Also notable is the fact that all five finalists turned four chairs in their Blind Auditions earlier this season. It’s shaping up to be an amazing finale.
Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye to three artists in Tuesday’s show. The eliminated singers were Team Snoop’s Christina Eagle, Team Reba’s Adam Bohanan, and Team Gwen’s Jan Dan. What did you think of the results? Do you agree with the Top 5? Let us know in the comments below.
