Kelly Clarkson always keeps it honest and real on The Kelly Clarkson Show. She recently read a tweet from a fan who was asking for relationship advice and did not hesitate to be straightforward. Kelly Clarkson Dishes Out Some Dating Advice For One Fan
Kelly read a tweet from a viewer asking for relationship advice. “My crush only uses Instagram to message me and he sends me heart eyes emojis. He hasn’t asked for my number. How do I convince him to take our relationship to the next level and actually text?” the tweet said. “Ooo I have advice, I don’t know if you want it” Kelly joked which garnered laughs from the virtual audience.
Kelly first called upon her guest Marlon Wayans who appeared virtually. “I’m old fashioned, I think a man should court you,” he said. “If he’s serious, he’ll ask you on a date, he’ll take you on a nice date and he’ll chase you. Play hard to get, and watch him chase. If he doesn’t chase, let him go. You’re the gift, not him.”

“If it was one of my girlfriends, I’d probably be like, ‘Well, take Instagram off your phone for a week and tell him you’re doing it so if he wants to get in touch with you he can text you. If he’s interested in you that way, you’ll know by then” her other guest Cleo Wade added.
“I don’t understand why you’d want to be with someone who only does it in front of people. That’s my thing,” she explained. “Like, if they’re only going to show you they care in front of people…you need to know what’s happening behind closed doors, not in front of the doors, because that’s who you’re going to be with just so you know and it kind of looks like ‘He’s Just Not That Into You,’ that book.” But Kelly assured the fan that we have all been in that position, which may be a nod to her current relationship status and her soon to be ex husband.
Kelly Has Opened Up About Her Divorce Publicly
Kelly gave out this dating advice while she is going through her own relationship troubles. She and Brandon were married for nearly seven years before she filed for divorce in June. The pair have two children together that they continue to coparent.
“There’s a lot of hearts involved here and you know, that’s the thing that’s been kind of hard to navigate is I am an open book, but at some point I’m a mama bear more than I am a person in the public eye” The Voice coach previously said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. “So, I care 100% more about my children than I do anything else on this planet.”
“So, that’s been the hard thing of, like, yes, I’m willing to share my experience and yes, it is the worst” she continued. “I mean, the past few months have been horribly sad. But at the same time, I have to think, ‘Hmmm, like, what I say has a domino effect in other people’s lives.'”
