The Exotic Bird’s Clues on The Masked Dancer
In her first clue package, we hear a narrator to start. Then, Exotic Bird interrupts from a track where she is surrounded by runners wearing the number 17. She says, “this is my story” and a gun shoots out glitter with a “BANG!” to start the race. We see the Exotic Bird is wearing heels. She claims to be “a little competitive” and mentions she started as a teenager. Exotic Bird was lucky enough to “win big pretty quickly.” She holds up a perfume bottle. The camera then pans over to a Venus fly trap. She explains that it “definitely wasn’t easy” after her big win. She felt attacked a lot. Next, she is shown playing with an ant farm and cooking with a carton of eggs reading “BEST BY 07.”

The Masked Dancer also has a new twist! Each contestant can say one word in their real, undisguised voice. Her “Word Up” clue was “scored.”
Popular Guesses
The panelists have guessed that the Exotic Bird is Hope Solo, Venus Williams, and Jennifer Hudson. Popular guesses online circle around athletes and have lead to Lolo Jones, Sue Bird, Julie Ertz, Marion Jones, and Candace Parker. Her height is definitely a huge factor in these predictions!

American Idol winner Jordin Sparks!
While the clues point to an athlete, we think this is all just a distraction from the truth. Here’s how the clues prove our prediction is right! First of all, the height makes sense because Jordin Sparks is 5’10”. Exotic Bird talks about starting as a teenager and Jordin won American Idol when she was 17 (which was the number on the runners next to her in the clues), in 2007 (which was the number on the egg carton). Jordin has been on many “tracks” as well, since she is a musical artist.

Exotic Bird held up a perfume bottle and Jordin has a perfume line called Because of You. The glitter gun could be a reference to her titular role in the movie “Sparkle.” We also saw her cooking in the clues and Jordin has a YouTube channel called “Heart of the Batter with Jordin Sparks” where she bakes. Other sports clues point to her dad and husband, who were both professional football players.
