Maria’s video even caught the attention of Lady Gaga herself. “Well it’s not every day you get to talk to a superstar or you get feedback from a superstar saying that you did great on the cover that’s her song,” Maria said. “We talked and she was actually having a bad day and I made her day, and it was really overwhelming.”
The Grammy-winning songstress invited Maria to sing with her during a concert in Toronto which made her nervous and excited at the same time. Before joining Lady Gaga on tour, Maria sang “Born This Way” on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. The audience went wild with applause after hearing her belt the song.
Less than a month after Maria’s appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, she joined Lady Gaga at the Air Canada Centre to sing “Born This Way.” The pair sat at the piano during the duet and fans absolutely loved it. Maria flew to the Philippines in the summer of 2011 and signed a contract with Star Records.
Where Is She Now?
