Fans Find Kristen Bell’s Anniversary Post Concerning
On Sunday, October 19, Bell shared a Instagram anniversary post for her husband. The post, which featured a single photo of Bell wrapped around Shepard, featured a mildly concerning caption.
“Happy 12th wedding anniversary to the man who once said to me: ‘I would never kill you. A lot of men have killed their wives at a certain point,” she wrote. “‘Even though I’m heavily incentivized to kill you, I never would.'”
While some, like Terry Crews, found this caption sweet, others immediate raised their relationship red flags. One fan even made sure to point out that the post was shared during Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
“I’m a fan of hers and I’ve heard her stories. Apparently life with him was not easy and it always seemed like they worked through their issues and built a beautiful family but, this is scary,” a fan commented on instagram. “This is tone deaf and not something to say lightly or joke about.”

Since publishing this post, Bell has not responded to any comment related to her relationship. At the time of writing, the post continues to be up, with a restricted comment section. Instead, Bell shared stills of her from the first two days of press for Nobody Wants This. The show premieres their second season on October 23.
It seems like fans aren’t continuing to raise their red flags on Bell’s posts, since there is only one comment regarding her last post. That being said, the comment section is restricted on this post as well.
