During Tuesday’s Wicked Night, Scott Hoying and Rylee Arnold performed a contemporary routine set to “The Wizard and I.” They received a total score of 28 out of 40 from the show’s panel, including guest judge Jon M. Chu, director of the Wicked movie adaptations.
Unfortunately, the pair was eliminated from the competition at the end of the night. After the show, Hoying and Arnold spoke to Extra. Hoying shared that he “literally made a best friend” in his dance partner this season.
“Everyone is so nice it felt like a family and I felt so welcome,” Hoying said. “Every single day felt like such a special experience… I feel really, really really lucky genuinely, I’m so sad to go.”
He also mentioned the fact that he and his husband, Mark Manio, got to announce that they’re expecting a baby together on the show, calling it “more than I could have ever dreamed for.”

Hoying Will Go on Tour with Pentatonix Next Month
Scott Hoying will still be keeping busy after his elimination, as Pentatonix is embarking on their holiday tour next month. The singer told Extra that he “had been stressing about and losing sleep over” the idea of doing the tour at the same time as DWTS.
“The silver lining is I can dive into that,” Hoying said of his post-dancing life, before admitting, “I’ll sleep in for sure. I’ll sleep in for a few days.”
There are now nine couples remaining in the Season 34 competition. Next week, they’ll return to the ballroom for Halloween Night, as former pro dancer Cheryl Burke joins the panel as a guest judge.
