Tuesday’s show saw the first 10s of the season, awarded to Whitney Leavitt and Jordan Chiles. During the episode, Whitney and her partner Mark Ballas danced a quickstep to “Popular,” which judge Bruno Tonioli called “insanely good.” They earned three 10s and one 9, bringing their total score for the night to 39 out of 40.

Closing out the episode was Jordan Chiles, who danced a rumba to “For Good” with her partner Ezra Sosa. Tonioli called the routine “wickedly good,” while Carrie Ann Inaba described it as “perfection.” Jordan and Ezra also earned a total score of 39 out of 40.

Robert Irwin, Danielle Fishel, and Elaine Hendrix also earned impressive scores this week. Robert and his partner Witney Carson performed a jazz routine to “Dancing Through Life,” prompting Derek Hough to comment that Robert was “meant to be on stage.” They earned a total score of 36 out of 40.

Meanwhile, Danielle Fishel and her partner Pasha Pashkov bounced back from last week’s disappointing scores as they danced an Argentine tango to “No Good Deed.” Inaba called it Danielle’s “breakthrough.” They earned a total score of 36 out of 40 for the routine.

Elaine Hendrix and her partner Alan Bersten danced a contemporary to “Defying Gravity” that ended with a show-stopping moment recreating the scene from the musical. It brought Inaba to tears, as she called it “something special.” Elaine and Alan earned a 36 out of 40.

The pair danced a contemporary routine to “The Wizard and I,” which earned a total score of 28 out of 40. Despite being at the bottom of the leaderboard once again, Andy and Emma survived to dance another week after receiving a score of 27 out of 40 for their jazz routine to “One Short Day.”
