Last week’s episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars was pretty much an hour-long special dedicated to Silky Nutmeg Ganache. After winning six lip-syncs to try and battle her way back into the competition, Silky wrote on Twitter that her phone has been buzzing off the hook. We finally know which queen has earned their spot back in the competition.

The Winner of the Lip-Sync Smackdown is Revealed on ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars’

Eureka O’Hara burst into tears when RuPaul revealed they were the winner of the lip-sync smackdown. They apologized to Silky for sending her home after her valiant effort. Nobody has ever won six straight lip-syncs in a row on RuPaul’s Drag Race before. Real fans of the show know this was only the start of Silky’s redemption arc and we will most likely see her on the show again in a future season.

The other queens were not very shocked to see Eureka rejoin the group because they are a powerhouse performer. Kylie Sonique Love won a Mini Challenge dedicated to celebrating Pride. It ended up being more of a promo for Levi’s Pride collection and less of an actual challenge. The best part about these photoshoot challenges is always listening to RuPaul’s laughter from behind the camera.

RuPaul introduced the Maxi Challenge for this week, “The Charisma Uniqueness Nerve and Talent Monologues.” The goal was to get the queens to tell vulnerable stories. Trinity K. Bonet was nervous because based on track records, she has been in the bottom the most out of everybody left in the competition. She felt like she would get sent home if she didn’t win the challenge.

Did the Right Person Win the Maxi Challenge?

This challenge was hilarious and also deep at the same time. Trinity decided to tell the story about how she got catfished. She went to meet up with an attractive guy she first met on the internet. A catfish showed up and insisted on explaining how Trinity saved his life. He too found out he was HIV positive and felt inspired when Trinity shared her story on RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 6.

Eureka’s story was about pooping their pants before a big performance. This was probably one of the funniest moments of the whole season, but Trinity’s story tugged at the heartstrings. Ra’Jah O’Hara got a bit flustered on stage and was searching for the right words during her story about her tuck coming undone. Kylie talked about doing drag for the first time at a club. Ginger shared a really important message about parents supporting their LGBTQ+ children.

The runway challenge was dedicated to fashionable fails. The two things that stood out were Kylie pulling a corn dog out of her skirt, and Eureka walking with toilet paper stuck to their shoe. One thing we didn’t see coming was that the judges felt like Trinity rushed through her monologue. Honestly, Trinity had one of the more compelling stories out of the group and looked stunning on the runway.

The judges loved that Eureka was so conversational. They were dying laughing the entire time. Even though Eureka wore a leotard on stage, Michelle Visage didn’t have her usual meltdown. Eureka finally won their first challenge this season. They literally went from getting sent home to coming back and earning a spot in the finale. Trinity deserved to win just as much as Eureka.

Jaida Essence Hall Returns For an Epic Lip-Sync

Season 12 RuPaul’s Drag Race winner Jaida Essence Hall was the lip-sync assassin this week. It was awesome to see Jaida on the stage again since the Season 12 finale was forced to go virtual due to the pandemic. She performed “Good Golly, Miss Molly” against Eureka. Eureka went with an interesting clown-inspired outfit for their big moment.

Eureka flung off their clown nose and ripped off their clown suit to reveal a colorful leotard with see-through cut outs. They quite literally proceeded to roll across the stage. RuPaul felt like both queens were worthy of the win. Because the lip-sync was tied, the queen Eureka chose and the queen that the group chose would be sent home. Both Eureka and the group sadly chose to eliminate Trinity.

Trinity has improved so much throughout the competition. She went from being full of self-doubt on Season 6 to being more confident and chill this season. Fans of the show are gutted that Trinity did not make it to the Final 4. Trinity now joins the growing list of queens that were robbed on RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars. She brought such a creative energy and charisma to the competition and will be missed.
