Paparazzo, Coral Move on in The Masked Singer Group A Finals
During Wednesday’s show, Paparazzo took the stage to perform “That’s Amore” by Dean Martin, after revealing that their family is from Italy. The panelists praised Paparazzo’s charming performance, guessing that they could be everyone from Cole Sprouse to Michael Cera.
At the end of the night, Paparazzo earned enough votes to automatically move on, while Coral and Ant had to compete in a Battle Royale. Earlier in the show, Coral performed “Luck Be a Lady” by Frank Sinatra, prompting Ken Jeong to call them the “frontrunner.”
In the Battle Royale, Ant and Coral each put their own spin on “My Way” by Frank Sinatra. Ultimately, the panel chose to keep Coral in the competition. Their guesses about the star’s identity included Victoria Justice and Rachel Zegler.
For Ant’s main performance on Rat Pack Tribute Night, she sang “Fever” by Peggy Lee. It wasn’t enough to send her straight through to the “Lucky 6,” so she had to compete in a Battle Royale against Coral.
After singing “My Way” by Frank Sinatra, Ant was unfortunately eliminated from the competition and unmasked. Before she revealed her identity, the panel shared their final guesses. They included Charli xcx, Mel B, and Evan Rachel Wood.
However, only Robin Thicke was correct in guessing that Ant was Aubrey O’Day from the girl group Danity Kane. Host Nick Cannon pointed out that her costume featured a candy cane, which was a nod to the group’s name.
O’Day brought up her “ex-boss” Diddy, saying, “He calls himself Love. He legally titled himself that, and he uses the love heart to express that everywhere he goes. He’s in prison now. And I just want to say to you guys, the love heart is now here.”
