Nearly days before the premiere of American Idol‘s season 23, photos of auditioning singers have been released via ABC’s press website. As anticipated, the first episode of the season will feature the son of Backstreet Boys’ Brian Littrell.
For those who may not know, the Backstreet Boys member recently revealed that his son, Baylee, auditioned for American Idol. During the TODAY interview, Brian Littrell said “He’s actually on the new American Idol this season, which is a little caveat of information.”

In February, Baylee himself posted about his upcoming American Idol appearance on Instagram. His post has over 5,000 likes and tons of supportive comments, including his father. Brian showed his support in the comments, joking that “we’re all counting on you.”

American Idol Shares Some Auditions Early
On Monday, American Idol shared three auditions early. The auditions were of Sonny Tennet, Amanda Barise, and The Voice alum Thunderstorm Artis. These auditions have each brought in over 100,000 views on YouTube, which is early implication of season 23’s success.
In addition, American Idol shared a video of Carrie Underwood reacting to her 2005 audition. So far, fans are absolutely loving Underwood as a judge on the series. Many have already commented that they voted for Underwood and are happy to see her returning to the series as a judge.
