The Masked Singer has been giving us new performers each week this season, but tonight we meet the last four. Season 2 has proven to be even more difficult to guess than the first one, with faked accents, disguised body figures, and voices not matching up to the costumes. But there’s one clue that led us to believe we know who the Eagle is before he even sings tonight!
Let’s investigate why we think the Eagle could be a famous football legend.
Putting the Clues Together for The Eagle on The Masked Singer
In the promos leading up to the show airing, The Masked Singer revealed some stats about the performers on season 2. One of these totals is number of Super Bowl appearances, which is 5.
Looking at the previous costumes and clues, we haven’t had a football player yet. If that is true, that means someone tonight has to have 5 Super Bowl appearances. The Flower and Penguin seem to be female. And from the judge’s guesses for the Fox, he’s a seasoned singer. So that leaves the Eagle as the only costume left.
In the “Super Sneak Peek,” the Eagle talks about how his competitors will be “saluting him.” He has a “signature sun medallion and red bandana.” The Eagle also mentions “if you know an eagle’s body temperature (106), you may be hot on my tail.”
PREDICTION: The Eagle On The Masked Singer is John Elway
Now, there are very few athletes who fit the bill of having 5 Super Bowl appearances to start. Most notable and relevant are two football legends: Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri and former quarterback and current GM of the Broncos, John Elway. While it could also be Adam Vinatieri, we’re gonna go out on a limb here and guess The Masked Singer nabbed the more elusive John Elway.
Either way, we have to guess that the clues about the sun medallion and red bandana aren’t as literal as fans are guessing. Online, people are speculating the Eagle may be Bret Michaels, Alice Cooper, Joe Walsh, Willie Nelson, Kid Rock, and Norman Reedus.
But we won’t know who the Eagle is on The Masked Singer until he’s revealed! Tune in to FOX tonight and every Wednesday at 8/7c to join the guessing game.
