The Voice coach Adam Levine recently appeared on the YouTube series “Hot Ones,” during which he told a story about the time his friend Blake Shelton pranked him when he was first dating his wife Behati Prinsloo.
Adam Levine Recalls Blake Shelton’s Pig Prank
While eating hot wings, Adam Levine recalled the best prank his former The Voice co-star Blake Shelton ever played on him. It was when Levine and his wife Behati Prinsloo were first dating, and she said she wanted a “teacup pig.”
Levine asked for help from Shelton, who told his friend to give him $5,000 to get the pig. The Maroon 5 star expressed annoyance with how noisy the pig was. They apparently only had the animal for about three weeks before giving it to “a little girl on a farm.”
The girl apparently sent them a photo of the pig six months later, at which point it had grown much larger. Levine apparently confronted Shelton about failing to get him a “teacup pig” like he asked, at which point Shelton called him “an idiot.”
“There’s no such thing as f*cking teacup pigs, you dumb*ss,” Shelton apparently said. Levine admitted that it was “a pretty good prank,” adding that Shelton refused to give him the money back.
Levine’s band Maroon 5 is gearing up to release their eighth studio album, titled Love Is Like. The project is set to be released on August 15. The lead single “Priceless,” featuring Lisa, was released earlier this year. It was followed by the song “All Night.”
The band also announced that they’ll be touring the United States this October and November, with support from singer Claire Rosinkranz. You can see a list of tour dates and links to buy tickets on the Maroon 5 website.
Earlier this year, Adam Levine returned to The Voice as a coach after several seasons away. However, Season 28 of the show, premiering this fall, will not feature Levine on the coaching panel. Would you like to see him return for a future season? Let us know in the comments below.
