Chrissy Metz Joins ‘The Masked Singer’ as Guest Judge For ‘Spicy 6’ Episode
Metz will serve as a guest judge alongside Ken Jeong, Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy, and Nicole Scherzinger to help guess which celebrities are under the masks. Metz has a gorgeous voice of her own so she is the perfect person to help judge the contestants. She just released the song “Girl Go” along with an acoustic music video.
She also sang the Oscar-nominated anthem “I’m Standing with You” from the 2019 film Breakthrough and got to perform it during Hollywood’s biggest night. The 40-year-old stars in This Is Us, a drama series that has gained quite a massive following over the years with its relatable storylines. In the past, she has had roles on American Horror Story and Superstore.
Two weeks ago, singer Rita Wilson joined The Masked Singer for a special two-hour episode. She engaged in a rap battle with The Chameleon. So, there is really no telling what will happen during this next exciting episode.
What to Expect During This New Episode
The “Super 6” or the remaining six contestants left in the competition are The Yeti, The Russian Dolls, The Robopine, The Black Swan, The Chameleon and The Piglet. In the trailer for the episode, the judges go absolutely nuts as The Yeti sings “It Takes Two” by Rob Base. The performance is full of dancing and energy which has led us to guess his identity as an R&B master.
“Could you guys sense that everyone is stepping up their game?” McCarthy asks her fellow judges.
Jeong is going to make a hilarious guess during this episode as always. When it comes to The Black Swan’s identity, he thinks it could be Metz’s This Is Us co-star Mandy Moore under the mask. A clue about New Hampshire led Jeong to this guess. Metz was quick to point out that Moore grew up in Florida.
“If she’s driven through New Hampshire, they’ll use it [as a clue],” Thicke explains.
Metz shutting down Jeong is certainly something to look forward to since he could get a little too carried away with his guesses sometimes.
Last time, we saw The Seashell and The Crab unmasked in a double elimination. The Seashell was revealed to be Tamera Mowry-Housley after putting on some of the most epic performances throughout the competition. The Crab was revealed to be Bobby Brown who had more of an emotional journey on The Masked Singer.
