Rita Wilson Joins ‘The Masked Singer’ Judging Panel

The Masked Singer is constantly raising the bar with special surprises. Actress and singer Rita Wilson is the latest to join the judging panel as a guest judge!
Rita Wilson is Joining ‘The Masked Singer’ as a Guest Judge
Wilson announced the news in an Instagram post for her 1 million followers along with a preview of her newest EP, Trilogy I. It is the first of three EPs that she plans to release this summer.
“I’m excited to be joining the @maskedsingerfox on April 21 as a guest panelist!!” she wrote. “Keep an eye out for more details to find out just how good (or bad) I am at guessing singers’ voices. But in the meantime… check out Trilogy I if you haven’t yet (link in bio)! #TheMaskedSinger.”
“You have the best sense of humor – so you’ll be GREAT on that show,” one fan wrote in the comments section of Wilson’s post.
“How exciting. Love that show and you will be an excellent judge/contributor,” another wrote.

Wilson will be making her ‘Masked Singer’ debut during the special 2-hour “Super 8” episode airing April 21. The 64-year-old will join Ken Jeong, Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg and Nicole Scherzinger to try and guess which celebrities are under the masks. Two celebrities will be unmasked during the highly-anticipated episode.
We think Wilson will be a great judge on the show and has had plenty of experience in the music industry to make the correct guesses. After all, nobody’s guesses could be as bad as Jeong’s.
Wilson, the wife of Oscar-winning actor, Tom Hanks, is not a talent competition rookie. The “Throw Me a Party” singer served as a guest judge on The Bachelor: Listen To Your Heart last year. She used her musical expertise to help crown the winner of the very first season of the show, which was filmed before Wilson and Hanks contracted COVID-19.
Another Superstar is Joining the Judging Panel this Season
Wilson isn’t the only huge celebrity joining The Masked Singer judging panel this season. This Is Us actress Chrissy Metz will appear on the “Spicy 6″ episode airing May 5. Metz is also an established singer and just released the song “Girl Go.” She also sang the Oscar-nominated anthem “I’m Standing with You” from the 2019 film Breakthrough.
Last week on The Masked Singer, viewers saw the most shocking reveal of all time. Host Nick Cannon, who was out sick with COVID-19, was underneath The Bulldog mask, a huge and unexpected reveal.

So far, this season’s unmasked celebrities include actor Danny Trejo and Kermit The Frog.
