America’s Got Talent is officially back! Now that AGT is back for its 20th season on NBC, there’s been a huge twist to the show itself. Instead of 4 or 5 Golden Buzzers, this season will feature 9. Brazilian dance group LightWire is among the recipients of the season.
Who is Simon Cowell’s Golden Buzzer Recipient LightWire?
It’s no secret that America’s Got Talent fans love a synchronized, light up dance group. Simon Cowell is apart of that clientele that loves a new dance group, since he gave one of his Golden Buzzers to Brazilian group, LightWire. Here’s everything you need to know about them.
According to LightWire’s YouTube channel they are an innovative team that has been “transforming the events market since 2019.” LightWire was founded by “a team of highly qualified professionals, with more than 25 years of accumulated experience.” The professionals have worked in creation, choreography, artistic direction and technical direction for both national and international events.
At the time of writing, LightWire has 143 YouTube subscribers, and 13.8K followers on Instagram.
This Group is Similar to Past Ones
The past couple years, fans have been able to cheer on multiple other dance groups. Some most notably have been The Mayyas who won AGT in 2022, Murmuration, Avantgardey, Brent Street, and more. LightWire is inherently different than others because they take a note out of Season 8 winner, Kenichi Ebina’s book. For those who may not remember, Ebina molded together technology and dance in an innovative way.
According to LightWire’s website, they “create a world where the boundaries between the real and the virtual blur.” They also specify that the group features illuminated costumes and digital content. Aside from basic information about their act, LightWire doesn’t have any further information on their group.
