Reading Time: 3 minutes
After Sharon Osbourne got into a heated argument with Sheryl Underwood on-air, CBS has suspended The Talk. Sharon first made waves when she defended her friend Piers Morgan. He denounced Meghan Markle’s claims of mental health battles and suicidal thoughts during her interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Sharon is also finding herself in hot water over comments that she allegedly made to Holly Robinson Peete. The whole entire scandal prompted a response from Donald Trump Jr. and Piers himself.
‘The Talk’ Is Suspended As CBS Investigates Sharon Osbourne
Sharon was confronted during an episode of The Talk for tweeting her support for Piers. Piers got into an argument with Alex Beresford on Good Morning Britain which led to the former ‘AGT’ judge walking off the set. He later quit the show for good and has continued to voice his negative opinions about Meghan whom he once shared a night out with.

Sharon tweeted her support for Piers saying “@piersmorgan I am with you. I stand by you. People forget that you’re paid for your opinion and that you’re just speaking your truth.” When Sharon was confronted by Sheryl for supporting Piers, she said she felt like she was “about to be put in the electric chair because I have a friend who many people think is a racist so that makes me a racist.”
Sharon was nearly brought to tears during the episode of The Talk. “Don’t try and cry, cause if anyone should be crying, it should be me,” she told Sheryl. After seeing the response of viewers online, Sharon put out an apology on social media. “I panicked, felt blinded, got defensive & allowed my fear & horror of being accused of being racist take over,” she wrote. “Please hear me when I say I do not condone racism, misogyny or bullying.”
Sharon Is Now Denying New Claims Against Her
Sharon is also being accused by former co-host Holly Robinson Peete of getting her fired from the show. “I’m old enough to remember when Sharon complained that I was too ‘ghetto’ for #theTalk…then I was gone. I bring this up now bc I was mortified watching the disrespectful condescending tone she took w/her co-host who remained calm & respectful because…she HAD to” Holly wrote on Twitter.
Sharon took to Twitter once again to deny the claims Holly made. “Never in my life did I utter the words that Holly was ‘too ghetto’ to be on The Talk, as well as not having her fired.” She posted an email from Holly who alleged former co-host Julie Chen is the one who had a hand in her firing.
Piers Morgan And Donald Trump Jr. Are Weighing In On ‘The Talk’ Being Suspended
Piers tweeted in response to the news that CBS would be suspending The Talk to conduct an internal investigation. “So @CBS has yanked The Talk off-air while it investigates the ‘scandal’ of @MrsSOsbourne defending me when @sherylunderwood said I was ‘racist’ for disbelieving Meghan Markle. The REAL scandal is me being branded a racist for refusing to believe a liar” the former ‘AGT’ judge wrote.

This prompted a response from Don Jr. “This is getting insane! Now other shows are being pulled off the air because someone who actually knows someone else doesn’t believe they’re racist simply because someone else accused them of it with no basis simply because he didn’t believe someone else. Got it?!? @piersmorgan” he wrote. Piers retweeted his response in the wake of the scandal.
