The Voice Season 20 returned on Monday night with another round of Blind Auditions. Coaches Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, Nick Jonas, and Blake Shelton continued filling up their teams.

In tonight’s episode, the coaches pulled out some interesting stuff during their pitches. That included a video of former coach Gwen Stefani, as well as a few memes. Check out the night’s performances below.

Savanna Woods (Team Kelly)

This singer was born into a musical family, and shared that her mom suffers from muscular dystrophy. For her audition, Savanna sang “Zombie” by the Cranberries.

Nick Jonas was the first coach to turn around, followed by Kelly Clarkson. Nick told Savanna that they could work together to make the audience feel the music. Ultimately, however, Savanna chose to join Team Kelly.

Rachel Mac (Team Nick)

This singer was inspired to get into music by her father, and shared how her mother left the family. For her audition, Rachel performed “Let Him Fly” by Patty Griffin.

Nick was the only coach to turn around for Rachel, so she automatically joined his team. However, Rachel couldn’t help but share her love for Blake Shelton, even showing her school report on him.

The members of this duo have both been playing music from a young age. Although they’re sometimes mistaken for a couple, they’re not — Natalie has a wife. For their audition, they performed “Wildflowers” by Tom Petty.

Unfortunately, none of the coaches turned around for their performance. Kelly said she wished she could have heard it without microphones, but said she would listen to their record.

Lindsay Joan (Team Nick)

This singer started singing from a young age, and ended up moving to New York and joining the Broadway tour of Kinky Boots. For her audition, she sang “Nightmare” by Halsey.

Nick and Blake turned around at nearly the same time. Kelly said she wasn’t sure why she didn’t turn, saying Lindsay was “so talented.” Blake claimed that Lindsay would have a “clear lane” on his team, but not on Nick’s. Lindsay chose to join Team Nick.

Rio Doyle (Team Legend)

This singer’s mother was diagnosed with a brain tumor. She called her mom her “hero.” For her audition, Rio sang “When We Were Young” by Adele. John Legend was the first coach to turn around.

None of the other coaches turned around, and John couldn’t believe it. “How am I alone here?” he wondered, calling Rio’s voice “beautiful.” Rio automatically joined John’s team.

Jordan Matthew Young (Team Blake)

This singer said joining a rock band changed his life. He’s spent 10 years traveling and performing. For his audition, Jordan sang “I’m No Stranger to the Rain” by Keith Whitley.

Blake, Kelly, and Nick all turned around for Jordan’s performance. Kelly said she liked that he sounded “old-school country.” She even played a funny, manipulated video of Gwen Stefani saying Jordan should pick Kelly. Ultimately, Jordan chose to join Team Blake.

Tyler Kohrs

This singer was adopted by his parents, and grew up listening to country music with his mom. For his audition, he sang “More Hearts Than Mine” by Ingrid Andress.

Unfortunately, none of the coaches turned around for Tyler. Kelly said he sounded pitchy and nervous. Blake encouraged him to work on controlling his nerves and try again in another season.

Zania Alaké (Team Legend)

This singer’s mother put on “kitchen concerts” when she was growing up. She’s performed in two bands while taking care of her kids. For her audition, Zania sang “Sweet Love” by Anita Baker.

John was the first coach to turn around, followed by Kelly. Kelly said Zania’s voice is “classic and timeless.” John said she pulled the song off “effortlessly.” Zania chose to join Team Legend.

Savanna Chestnut (Team Blake)

This singer is from a small town in Kansas, and grew up singing on karaoke night in her grandparents’ bar. For her audition, she sang “Hold Me Now” by the Thompson Twins.

Blake was the only coach to turn around, so Savanna automatically joined his team. Blake praised her for reinterpreting the song, calling it “really cool” and saying Savanna has a “great voice.”

This singer is a first-generation American. She got a scholarship to attend music school in New York. For her audition, she sang “I Wanna Be Down” by Brandy.

Unfortunately, none of the coaches turned around for her performance. Nick said some things felt “shaky,” but added that she has a “great tone.” John said she was “behind the beat.”

Anna Grace (Team Kelly)

Anna had a blood infection when she was a teenager, and had to have her gallbladder removed. She’s a fan of Brynn Cartelli, who sent her a video message of support. For her audition, Anna performed “My Future” by Billie Eilish.

John, Kelly, and Nick turned around almost simultaneously. Blake eventually joined them, making Anna a four-chair turn. John said she made “cool choices” with the song. Nick presented several funny memes against his fellow coaches. Ultimately, Anna chose to join Team Kelly.
