Angelina Jordan Looks Just like Amy Winehouse in Her Elvis Presley Tribute

America’s Got Talent: The Champions star Angelina Jordan is back and better than ever on YouTube. After nearly six months, the Amy Winehouse-like singer has premiered her next cover, “Suspicious Minds” by Elvis Presley.
With the new Elvis biopic on the rise, music of the late singer has resurfaced on most social media platforms. In honor of Elvis Presley, Angelina Jordan published a cover of “Suspicious Minds” to YouTube. Even though Austin Butler may play the king of rock and roll in the film, Angelina plays a great alternative in this video.
Angelina Jordan Channels Her Inner Elvis Presley for Cover Video
From first glance, it’s clear that this singer is paying tribute to Presley through her outfit. Emphasis is put on her rhinestone boots (which disappear once the song begins), full leather outfit, and vintage hair style. Her style definitely follows suit to Pressly, but there’s also an uncanny resemblance to Amy Winehouse.
Within the video, Angelina once again shows off her beautiful low register that we know and love. To make this song her own, she slowed down the original tempo. Instead of a fast beat with quick words, Angelina’s cover features a slower, more smooth approach with an emphasis on note changes. Even though this cover doesn’t play out like the original, it’s insanely beautiful.
“Suspicious Minds” is not Angelina’s first cover of a Presley song. In the past, she’s performed “It’s Now or Never” and “Can’t Help Falling in Love.” Since Angelina has performed these types of covers in the past, fans are blowing up the new release.

The video is very classy, the evolution of Angelina shown with help from the cousins and sister Juliette! This could well be the take off year – the sky’s the limit!” a fan commented on YouTube.
Angelina Jordan’s Journey in Got Talent
Angelina has proven once again that her voice is beyond her years. Her beautiful vocals were first premiered on Norway’s Got Talent, when she was only seven years old. After winning the series, she competed on AGT: The Champions 2 at 13 years old. On this show, she earned the golden buzzer from Heidi Klum. Even though she didn’t win the series, Angelina gained national recognition for her stunning voice.
No matter her age, she’s always been singing classical tunes like “Gloomy Sunday” by Billie Holiday and “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen. Since her appearance on AGT: The Champions, Angelina’s tonality and overall look has been compared to Amy Winehouse.
In present day, the 16 year old continues to pursue music professionally. Last year, she released her original song “7th Heaven” to streaming. This song has quickly became one of her most listened to songs on Spotify. Angelina’s voice has only gotten better with time, so fans cannot wait to see what’s next for this singer.
Angelina is dressed in black leathers to emulate what Elvis wore for his ca. 1968 “comeback” tour/album (complete with a copy of his red guitar) and sporting the beehive hairdo that was popular among many famous women of that era including Jackie Kennedy, Ronnie Spector and Elvis’ then wife Priscilla! Yes, Amy Winehouse was also a big fan of the 60’s girl band, The Ronettes, who all sported beehives but Angelina’s look here is likely all about Elvis (and perhaps Priscilla) during the 1960’s.
Angelina’s voice and her total being is like an ocean wave or soft summer breeze that takes you in and rushes you to places you have rarely experienced. Your heart rate increases, you find it difficult to catch your breath, chills and shells engulf you. You are now addicted to Angelina Jordan the finest story telling vocalist I have ever experienced.
This girl is just the best there is in bringing you into whatever song she performs she is so good .
