AGT Star Angelica Hale to Make Broadway Debut
Angelica was recently announced as part of the Broadway principal cast of Boop! The Musical, which is based on the classic cartoon character Betty Boop. The former AGT star previously appeared in the pre-Broadway production of the show in 2023 at Chicago’s CIBC Theater.
The musical tells the story of Betty Boop, who travels to the real world from “ToonTown.” She ends up meeting Trisha (played by Angelica), a Betty Boop superfan. In the Broadway production, Jasmine Amy Rogers will reprise her role as Betty.
According to Broadway.com, Boop! The Musical will begin performances at the Broadhurst Theatre in New York City on March 11, 2025, before officially opening on April 25. The show features music by David Foster, with lyrics by Susan Birkenhead.

Angelica Finished in Second Place on Got Talent
Angelica competed on Season 12 of America’s Got Talent, when she was just 9 years old. She blew the judges away with her voice and earned a Golden Buzzer in the Judge Cuts, making it all the way to the Finals. Angelica ended up finishing the competition in second place behind winner Darci Lynne.
She later returned to compete in AGT: The Champions, earning her second Golden Buzzer. That made her the first contestant to earn two Golden Buzzers on AGT. She went straight to the Champions Finals but didn’t end up winning.
Since her time on Got Talent, Angelica has pursued acting. She appeared in the 2020 movie American Reject and voiced Peggy the Polar Bear in two episodes of the animated children’s series T.O.T.S. Now Angelica is headed to Broadway.
