Each season of America’s Got Talent builds up with anticipation as fans wait to see which acts will earn the judges’ Golden Buzzers. In one of the promos for Season 16, Instagram user @_agtfans_ thinks one minor detail leaked Simon Cowell’s Golden Buzzer selection ahead of the show’s June 1 premiere.
Did ‘America’s Got Talent’ Promo Leak Simon Cowell’s Golden Buzzer?
America’s Got Talent teased Cowell hitting the Golden Buzzer for one act in a promo released on May 12. If you pause the video just before his hand touches the button, you can see a sheet of Cowell’s notes on the table. He crossed off certain acts on the paper, presumably the ones that already performed on the stage.
The next act whose name is not yet crossed off on the paper is incredible singer Jane Marczewski who goes by the artist name Nightbirde. While we don’t exactly know if this theory is true, Jane is a huge inspiration after sharing her cancer journey with the world through blogs and social media posts. She is more than deserving of Cowell’s Golden Buzzer based on talent and her resilience.
In a blog post, Jane described how she was diagnosed with cancer on New Year’s Eve in 2019. She was given 3-6 months to live after doctors discovered hundreds of tumors in her body. The singer from Nashville was in a wheelchair and couldn’t eat or speak at full volume. She experienced a true miracle as the tumors died and announced she was cancer-free in July 2020.
Jane’s Cancer Returned Ahead of Her ‘AGT’ Audition
After finalizing her divorce, specialists discovered that Jane suffered physical head trauma. She underwent brain wave therapy and her cancer came back for the third time. Jane started a GoFundMe to help with her medical treatments that are not covered by insurance. Doctors are confident that the same treatments will rid cancer from her body once more.
Jane decided on her artist name, Nightbirde, when she had a reoccurring dream about birds singing outside her window. Throughout her cancer battles, Jane has released music as Nightbirde including her inspirational anthem “Brave.”
“The third day, I woke up, went to the window and saw there were birds,” she told Lynchburg Living. “It was so profound: this image of being able to sing through a dark time, even when there’s no proof that the sun is coming. To sing in anticipation of the dawn, even if you can’t prove it.”
Season 16 of America’s Got Talent premieres on June 1 on NBC.
