‘AGT’ Season 16 Finalist Gina Brillon to Appear in Disney+ Christmas Film
AGT Season 16 finalist Gina Brillon will be starring in the upcoming Disney+ film, Dashing Through The Snow. Along with Brillon, the film cast also features rapper Christopher “Ludacris” Bridges, Lil Rel Howery, and Teyonah Parris.
On August 31, Gina Brillon took to Instagram to share the exciting news. Within the announcement, she shared a video Deadline’s announcement of the film. In the second part of the short video, she shows her name within the article.
“So honored to be part of this dope cast!” she wrote in praise of costars.
For those who may not know, the 41-year-old comedian has done various on-screen projects after her run on AGT. She recently found success with the release of her Gracie Award-winning one-hour special Gina Brillon: The Floor Is Lava. She has also been staying active on HBO digital platforms, appearing in HA Festival’s The Art of Comedy. With her half-hour special Easily Offended becoming one of the top shows on HBO Latino, Brillon has proven to be an incredibly talented comedian.

Production is currently underway in Atlanta, Georgia and is planned to be finished in time for a release on Disney+. The film is to be produced by Will Packer, who worked on the Ride Along movies. While originally believed to be an updated version of A Christmas Carol, this does not seem to be the case according to Deadline.
The film tells the story of a divorced social worker who despises Christmas due to a painful childhood memory. According to Deadline, this film follows a man whose spending Christmas Eve with his daughter, until he evokes the wrath of a local politician. The main character then meets a man that helps him understand the joy and magic of Christmas. At this time, we’re unsure what Brillon’s exact role in the film is.
This upcoming feel good movie will be a perfect fit for the holiday season so be sure to stay tuned for its release. The film’s release is planned to be during the holidays this year, or in early 2023.
