The Best Moments from ‘World of Dance’

The good news is that we can still enjoy some of the best performances from the show’s run, including a few that had the judges screaming, running around the room, and standing on tables. We’re sure to be playing these dances on repeat for years to come.

1. Charity and Andres

This duo became the first dancers to score a perfect score of 100 in Season 2 of the show. They earned it for a stunning contemporary routine during the Duels round. They seemed to defy gravity, as Andres leapt over Charity and Charity jumped onto Andres’ back. Jennifer Lopez grabbed her fellow judges by the arm, shouting, “What the hell was that?!”

2. Oxygen

During the Redemption round in Season 4, this group wowed the judges with their fast-paced routine. They wore bright blue gloves, which showed off how quick and streamlined their hand movements were. Judge Ne-Yo was so impressed, he got up out of his chair and ran around the group several times. Lopez told the other dancers, “Y’all are lucky they didn’t do that the first time.”

This dance group from India won Season 3. For their Finals performance, they went all out with a warrior-inspired routine that had judge Derek Hough jumping out of his chair before it was even over. The performance featured powerful choreography and acrobatic flips. At one point, the dancers appeared to fight in slow motion. The judges were left stunned afterward. Ne-Yo compared it to a movie.

These salsa dancers from Chile pulled out all the stops for their Qualifiers performance in Season 2. They showed off fast footwork and amazing flips and spins. At one point, Ricardo even did a split while Karen was on his shoulders. The performance was so jaw-dropping, Hough stood up on the judges’ desk afterward to applaud them.

4. Les Twins

These twin brothers from France won Season 1 of the show with their creative hip-hop routines. They had the audience going wild with their first performance on the show, which featured fast-paced and synchronized moves, contrasted with slower, more chilled choreography. Their movement felt spontaneous and organic.

This married couple delivered an artistically beautiful performance during the Cut round of Season 1. They danced while tethered together, twisting themselves up in it and drawing each other back in.
