Singer Jacob Lewis Named ‘Canada’s Got Talent’ 2025 Winner

Canada’s Got Talent returned on Tuesday night for the two-hour finale, as singer Jacob Lewis was named the winner of the 2025 season. As part of his victory, Jacob received the coveted $1 million grand prize from Rogers.
Jacob Lewis Named Canada’s Got Talent Winner
Eight finalists took the stage during Tuesday’s show — singing acts Jacob Lewis, Nicolina, Carsim Birmingham, and The Martin Boys; comedians Darren Leo and Sai Kit Lo; dance group Funkyverse; and drone group Illumin. However, only one could be named the Canada’s Got Talent 2025 winner.
That honor went to Jacob Lewis, an offshore oil and gas construction worker from Newfoundland. Jacob shared in his audition that his dream of being a singer was put on hold when his twin sons were born prematurely and faced complications.
Jacob earned two Golden Buzzers this season — once from judge Shania Twain during his audition, and another from the panel during the Eliminations round. To top it all off, he was named the CGT winner thanks to votes from viewers at home.
During Tuesday’s show, Jacob took the stage to sing “The Best” by Tina Turner. He got emotional after he was announced as the winner, saying, “Thank you, Rogers! Thank you, Canada. My family my friends. Everyone back home. Thank you, guys. Thank you!”

Who Came in Second Place?
Singing duo The Martin Boys finished the 2025 competition in second place after performing an original song called “Burn the Boats” during Tuesday night’s finale. Dance group Funkyverse took third place after delivering another amazing routine.
Meanwhile, singer Nicolina finished the competition in fourth place. During Tuesday’s finale, she performed an original song called “YOU.” Nicolina previously competed on American Idol. This season, she was one of two acts (along with Carsim Birmingham) to earn a spot in the finale thanks to the public vote.
