Could former American Idol co-stars Keith Urban and Jennifer Lopez be dating? A new report claims that the two stars have been spending time together following Urban’s split from his wife Nicole Kidman earlier this year.
Keith Urban, Jennifer Lopez Spark Dating Rumors
News broke in October that Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman were separating after 19 years of marriage. In January of this year, Jennifer Lopez and her ex-husband Ben Affleck finalized their divorce after less than three years of marriage.
Now Urban and Lopez are reportedly sparking dating rumors. Heat World UK reports that the stars, who formerly appeared together on the American Idol judging panel, have recently reconnected. A source told the outlet that Lopez “reached out to Keith as soon as she found out he and Nicole had split up, she wanted to offer her support and check in.”
“A lot of people did that for her when she and Ben broke up and it meant everything to her,” the source continued. “It’s been more than a year now and she’s still hurting over her divorce so she’s very sensitive to anyone going through the end of a marriage. And when you add in all the awful accusations Keith has had to deal with, she feels that much worse for him.”
Following Urban’s split from Kidman, rumors spread that he was involved in a relationship with 25-year-old musician Maggie Baugh, who toured with him. Urban has reportedly been “so grateful” for Lopez’s support.
“They always shared a lot of laughs back in the Idol days and that fun rapport is there just as strong as ever, to the point where people are even starting to wonder if something more might have sparked,” the source toldHeat World about the two stars.
The insider went on to point out that when the pair appeared on American Idol together, “there was a lot of talk about how flirtatious they were, to the point where it was a touchy subject for Nicole.” This apparently included a photo of Urban whispering in Lopez’s ear during a press appearance.
“People in both their worlds are trying to play matchmaker for them and the idea of teaming up for some sort of romantic duet has been suggested as a way to jumpstart things,” the source shared. “That’s actually worked really well for J.Lo in the past – the studio can be like foreplay for her. And the timing is perfect for them to get together, even if it’s just for a work project.”
