Sofia Vergara Doesn’t Like Having 2 Golden Buzzers on ‘America’s Got Talent’

Sofia Vergara is officially one of the first judges to talk about the upcoming legendary season of America’s Got Talent. Although she didn’t drop any major hints, she admitted that she isn’t a fan of the two Golden Buzzer per judge formatting.
Sofia Vergara Admits Having Two AGT Golden Buzzers is Hard
While appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday night, Vergara talked about the upcoming season of AGT. When discussing the show, Vergara admitted that sometimes it’s hard to not react to bad acts.
“You don’t want to hurt feelings.. there’s also kids that come to the show, there’s people that really believe in themselves that they believe to be there and they don’t,” Vergara said. “It’s super hard to tell them that in front of millions of people watching, you don’t want to be unfair, but sometimes you have to do what you have to do.”
When discussing the Golden Buzzer, Vergara admits that she gives the Golden Buzzer two times this upcoming season. The AGT judge also admits that she has a love-hate relationship with having two Golden Buzzers in a season.
“It’s a little bit too-I don’t know, I love and I don’t love it because then it means you have to feel again once you have already felt you know your Golden Buzzer again, it’s difficult,” she said.
Fallon admits that Vergara is good at it and that she has a good eye for it. Vergara then jokes that she’s “been there for six years I’m good at it.”
Vergara has been a constant judge on America’s Got Talent since Season 15 (2020). She has consistently judged alongside Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, and Heidi Klum. This season will be her first judging beside Mel B.
The End of The Clip Shows a Never-Before-Seen Act Preview
At the end of the clip, Vergara is seen alongside Season 20 judges, Howie Mandel, Mel B and Simon Cowell. The four are reacting to a soon-to-be-named roller skating duo. The pair is seen on roller skates, while the man is lifted by aerial straps. Then, they’re seen spinning above the America’s Got Talent sign.
If we had to guess, this act is similar to America’s Got Talent Fantasy League siblings Billy and Emily England. Fans will have to tune into AGT’s NBC premiere on May 27, 2025 to catch this act and more during the Season 20 premiere.
Within the show clip, judges are seen reacting to the performance. Vergara is seen sitting next to Simon Cowell, while Mel B took Heidi Klum’s spot next to Howie Mandel. Terry Crews is once again seen in the wings of the stage, reacting to the performance.
