“Work for Simon is not just work. It’s his hobby. It’s his passion. It’s his baby. It’s his love. It’s his life,” Silverman says at the start of the new clip. “I do worry about burnout with him. I think the hardest thing is just trying to keep our family, you know, a unit.”

The video shows a conversation between Cowell and Silverman as Cowell receives an IV infusion. They discuss Silverman’s older son Adam, who is graduating high school. Cowell asks if he will have to attend the entire graduation ceremony, to which Silverman replies that he does.

“You’re his stepfather, and he’s so proud of you,” Silverman says. “He wants to, like, you know, show you off. He’s really excited for you to be there.”

The couple begins to argue about it, as Cowell says he doesn’t want to take time to watch Adam’s classmates graduate, while Silverman says it feels like he doesn’t want to go. As Silverman says, “You’re really upsetting me, because I do everything for you. And that is really rude.”

Cowell Says Silverman Always Tells Him the Truth

“If I’m upset about something, oh, you’re gonna know it,” Silverman can be heard saying in the clip. “At the end of the day, family is the most important thing.”

After her argument with Cowell, Silverman can be seen getting teary-eyed as she asks for her microphone to be removed. She then tells Cowell that she’s going to leave. Cowell asks her not to go, telling her, “Don’t be so dramatic.”

Cowell can be heard calling Silverman “very strong” and “very emotional,” adding, “But I love that.” He explains, “The reason we have such a great relationship is she always tells me the truth.”

Simon Cowell: The Next Act, a new docuseries in which Cowell tries to put together a new boy band, will premiere on Netflix December 10.
