Canada’s Got Talent has officially announced it’s newest winner. In case you missed it, singer Jacob Lewis was announced as the series winner on Tuesday, May 13. Relive his winning journey now, watch here.
Jacob Lewis All Performances on Canada’s Got Talent 2025
Audition
At the beginning of the season, Jacob took to the stage, sharing his story of working away from his twin children for a period of time. For the performance, Jacob sang “Bed of Roses” by Bon Jovi. This performance moved the judges, three of the four judges were seen standing for Jacob.
The judge that was the most moved by Jacob was none other than country singer Shania Twain. Twain loved this performance so much that she decided to give Jacob her Golden Buzzer.
“You have such a humility about you, and you came out of yourself which is what we do as singers, as musicians, no matter what our background is, if we can put it all in the performance, then we are rock stars in that moment,” Twain said before hitting the Golden Buzzer. “I think you’re freakin’ amazing. You rock!”
Eliminations
In the second round of Canada’s Got Talent, Jacob performed “Beautiful Things” by Benson Boone. His performance captivated both the judges and the audience. When talking about the performance, Katherine Ryan admitted that she loved his last performance, as well as this one.
Although it isn’t shown in the clip, judges went through the entire night without hitting the Golden Buzzer. When deciding who was going home, Ryan decided to give Jacob her Eliminations Round Golden Buzzer. This was Jacob’s second Golden Buzzer on CGT.
Finale
For the Finale, Jacob returned to the stage playing guitar and singing “Simply The Best” by Tina Turner. This acoustic rendition lead to Canada voting Jacob in as the next winner of the series.
Winner Announcement
Jacob Lewis won a million dollars when he was announced as the winner of Canada’s Got Talent 2025. He won first place while country duo, The Martin Boys won the title of runner up.
