RuPaul’s Drag Race Shares Season 16 Trailer
Earlier this month, Drag Race shared a “Meet the Queens” special, introducing us to the 14 Queens who will be vying for the top spot this season. Now the show has released the official Season 16 trailer, giving us a sneak peek at the new competition.
The video offers a glimpse at some of this season’s performances, as well as a little bit of drama behind the scenes, with one contestant saying, “I lived for it, but I also hated her for it.” Another says, “I don’t want to get in trouble for fighting her b*tch ass.”
The trailer also teases some of the famous faces we can expect to see this season. That includes Sarah Michelle Gellar and Charlize Theron. Kaia Gerber, Isaac Mizrahi, and Kyra Sedgwick can also be seen. Other stars appearing this season include Kelsea Ballerini and Icona Pop.

This Season Will Feature Some Twists
Drag Race is shaking things up this season, as host RuPaul can be heard telling the Queens about a couple of twists in the official trailer. That includes immunity for one of the week’s winners, as well as something new called “Rate-A-Queen.”
Instead of Ru judging the Queens, they’ll be judging each other. Contestants will apparently have to rank their fellow Queens’ performances to determine who will be at the top and bottom each week. Another change is that the show is back to 90 minutes this season, after being shortened to an hour last time.
The new season of RuPaul’s Drag Race will kick off on Friday, January 5, at 8/7c on MTV. It will be followed by an episode of Untucked.
