JoJo Siwa Noticeably Upset on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ Ahead of Final Episode

JoJo Siwa has been the person to watch during this season of Celebrity Big Brother UK. Notably, the singer has been making headlines for her cozy friendship with Love Island’s Chris Hughes. Now, Siwa is reacting to her week three messages from her partner and family.
JoJo Siwa Reacts to Partner Kath Ebbs Not Saying ‘I Love You’ in Message
During the third week of Celebrity Big Brother, all of the housemates received letters from home ahead of Friday’s final. Siwa, one of the five finalists was among the housemates to receive family letters. The 21 year old received a letter from her mother, Jessalynn, who mentioned JoJo’s partner, Kath Ebbs.
“The most important thing to tell you is a message from Kath because I know you really miss them the most. ‘Kath’s keen to see you when you get out’…” Chris Hughes read to Siwa.
Later in the episode, Siwa opened up in the Diary Room about how she was feeling about the message. The celebrity was clearly in distress over the message.

“I think I’ve tried to keep myself distracted from missing sweet Kath. I said goodbye to them at the airport and it was a really hard goodbye,” Siwa said. “They were the last person I talked to before I gave up my phone for the Big Brother house. God, I love that little sucker. I do.”
Siwa went on to explain that she has “beef to pick” with Ebbs. The celebrity was focused on the fact that Ebbs did not write “I love you” in the message.
“They didn’t even say in the note that they love me. I will not let them live that down,” Siwa said. “I will say, ‘where was my ‘hi sweetheart’, where was my ‘I love you’ where was my ‘I miss you’?’ Like happy you’re keen to see me when I get out of here, keen to see you as well, but come on baba, give me a little something something.”
Many fans of Celebrity Big Brother have taken Ebbs’ lack of “I love you” as proof that Ebbs is unhappy with how Siwa has been acting with Hughes. For those who may have missed it, Siwa has been cozying up to Hughes on the show, often seen cuddling with him in bed.
JoJo Siwa is No Longer Identifying as a Lesbian, Identifies as Queer
Since joining Celebrity Big Brother, Siwa has been on quite the ride. Beginning with actor Mickey Rourke using homophobic slurs toward the celebrity. Hughes was quick to defend Siwa in the moment. This caused Hughes to become Siwa’s comfort person in the competition.
Throughout the competition, Hughes and Siwa were seen cuddling in bed, scratching each others’ backs, holding hands and embracing. Fans have quickly caught on to the fact that Ebbs might not be thrilled with this relationship, since they stopped posting on social media.
On April 22, while talking to Drag Queen Danny Beard, Siwa opened up about her sexuality. During the conversation, Siwa admitted that she felt more “queer” and less “lesbian.”
“I think that’s the thing, I’ve always told myself I’m a lesbian, and I think being here I’ve realized: ‘Oh, I’m not a lesbian, I’m queer.’ And I think that’s really cool,” Siwa said.
For those who may not know, Siwa came out as part of the LGBTQ community in January 2021. Later in 2021, she revealed that she identified as a lesbian. Earlier on Celebrity Big Brother, Siwa discussed gender identity as well.
“Essentially, you have female, you have male. I’ve met a lot of females, love them, don’t feel like them. Met a lot of males, love them, definitely not them. Met a lot of people in my life that are nonbinary, and these beautiful nonbinary people are who I feel the most like and…” Siwa said. “I don’t know, it’s not something I want to say about myself yet, but it’s something that is confusing, and that’s probably why we were talking about it last night.”
Siwa admitted in the conversation that it’s not necessarily something she’s ready to define at the moment. Now that Celebrity Big Brother is coming to an end, Siwa will have the opportunity to discuss her gender identity online, when she’s ready.
