RuPaul’s Drag Race season 15 may have concluded recently, but the drag universe is not leaving television anytime soon. Apparently, All Stars is returning for another season, with one more set of divas that fans are yet to know.
RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars Set to Air on May 12
Amid the season 15 Grand Finale, the show surprised fans with a snippet of All Stars season eight, to premiere on May 12, 2023. The short teaser reveals Mama Ru wearing his usual full glam while she poses amid blinding camera lights.
“Are you ready to play the fame games?” she said in a voiceover.
This news came alongside the announcement of upcoming season of Untucked exclusively air on Paramount+. Additionally, Queen of the Universe season two will also premiere on Paramount+ on June 2.
Back in season seven, fans have been served with an undeniably remarkable set of contestants. The historic “all winners” season showed how Jaida Essence Hall, Jinkx Monsoon, Monét X Change, Raja, Shea Couleé, Trinity the Tuck, The Vivienne, and Yvie Oddly contended for the same crown. Ultimately, it was Jinkx Monsoon who snatched the highly coveted prize.
Back last year, Paramount+ announced that season seven of Drag Race All Stars has become the service’s “most-watched original reality series to date in the U.S.” By the numbers, its total streams have reached nearly over 60 percent compared to the previous season.
Rumored All Stars Contestants Revealed
While nothing has been revealed by the series yet, there have already been rumors about the show’s possible contestants. They include Drag Race season nine alum Alexis Michelle, season six alum Darienne Lake, and season 12 alum Heidi N Closet.
Furthermore, Jaymes Mansfield, Jessica Wild, Jimbo and Kahanna Montrese were rumored to be casted in the series. If gossips are true, Kandy Muse, Naysha Lopez, and LaLa Ri will also join the show. Meanwhile, Monica Beverly Hillz and Mrs. Kasha Davis are also guessed to be in the list.
At present, there is zero certainty regarding their inclusion in the show. However, speculations have been made since they “notably disappeared” from social media and their in-person gigs during time of the filming starting July last year.
