Britain’s Got Talent Series 18 returned this week for the final episode of auditions. During the show, an audience member named Max Fox had the opportunity to audition for the judges. Not only did he deliver a great performance, but he earned judge Amanda Holden’s second Golden Buzzer of the season.
Audience Member Earns BGT Golden Buzzer
During this week’s show, audience member Max Fox could be heard calling Simon Cowell’s name from the crowd. He told the judge that he’s been trying to audition for him for 19 years but never had the opportunity. Max explained that he’s a singer.
Cowell agreed to let him try out, so Max went backstage to get things sorted out with the show’s producers before he performed. Meanwhile, a montage of disappointing acts was shown, as the judges hit their red buzzers. When Max came out, he promised that it wasn’t a set-up.
For his audition, Max chose to sing “My Way” by Frank Sinatra, showing off a strong voice and a great stage presence. The crowd went wild for his performance, and the judges gave him a standing ovation when the song was finished.
The crowd chanted for Max to receive a Golden Buzzer, and Amanda Holden answered the call. Max is her second Golden Buzzer of the season, following 11-year-old guitarist Olly Pearson. Before Max left the stage, Cowell once again made him promise that it wasn’t a set-up. Max even showed the judge his audience ticket to prove it.

Who Else Impressed the Judges This Week?
Max Fox wasn’t the only act to impress the judges during this week’s new episode of Britain’s Got Talent. The show also featured an audition from hilarious comedian Joseph Charm, who shared that he quit his job to pursue comedy.
Joseph told some funny and relatable jokes about being a parent, and how expensive daycare is. The comedian got emotional as the audience cheered for his performance. The judges praised his talent, with Bruno Tonioli shouting out his physicality on stage. Joseph earned four “yes” votes to move on.
This week’s episode also featured a performance from friends Harry & Lewis, who delivered an amazing dance routine. Amanda Holden told them that they “smashed it,” while Tonioli called their performance “very creative.” They earned four “yes” votes to move on.
Next week, the Series 18 Semifinals will begin airing live. This year, the judges and hosts are allowed to press one Golden Buzzer each during the live shows.
