Britain’s Got Talent Semi-Finals Includes Golden Buzzer For First Time Ever

The Golden Buzzer is back for the first time on the Britain’s Got Talent Semi-Finals. Each week of the Semi-Finals each judge will have a chance to award the Golden Buzzer again. Each week, one judge will be assigned the Golden Buzzer, similar to last season’s AGT Semi-Finals.

Similar to AGT’s Semi-Finals, the Golden Buzzer recipient as well as one act voted in by the UK will continue into the Final. This is the first time that Britain’s Got Talent has ever split up their Semi-Finals between seperate weeks. Usually, the show premieres the Semi-Finals and Final in the same week.

Who is Performing This Week?

The lineup for the first Semi-Final of BGT 2025 is officially live. Fans should expect to see Akira (novelty act), Auzzy Blood (danger act), Eden Choi (magician), Heavy Saurus (novelty act), Linda Mudzenda (Golden Buzzer singer), Teddy Magic (magician), The Blackouts (Golden Buzzer dance group), and Vinnie McKee (Golden Buzzer singer).

In addition, the cast of ‘Tina – The Tina Turner Musical’ will be performing on this episode. At this moment, it has not been revealed which judge will be awarding the Golden Buzzer.

Britain’s Got Talent premieres the first round of the 2025 semi-finals on Saturday, April 26 at 7pm. Semi-Final episodes will premiere every Saturday until the Final on May 31. Be sure to tune in on iTV so you don’t miss a minute of the Semi-Finals.
