Reading Time: 2 minutes
If you loved Light Balance, you’re going to love MPLUSPLUS. This group uses technology to bring their on-stage act alive. You don’t want to miss this America’s Got Talent contestant.
MPLUSPLUS is a group of innovators native to Japan that strive to create the next form of on-stage entertainment. They are achieving their goal this through the use of wearable technology that they’ve created and designed. To prove that their technology works on stage, they have a group of dancers and directors showing it off.
The dance portion of MPLUSPLUS involves six main dancers and two directors. They hope to evolve the world of entertainment by providing electronic props, masks, faces, and more for dancers. According to MPLUSPLUS’s website, they are the only technology dance crew that blends in-house developed technology with dance.
The company’s name was created based on what each portion of it means. The letter M stands for the first letter of make, also known as the starting point of all craftsmanship. The plus portion of their name is inspired by the symbol “++” which means innovation. Even their logo has significance. The left side resembles the circuit symbol of electric resistance and the right side resembles the circuit symbol of direct current. MPLUSPLUS’s logo represents their thoughts and intentions to create something brand new through the use of technology.
Who Was MPLUSPLUS Before AGT?
In present day, MPLUSPLUS has almost 7,000 followers on Instagram and 574 subscribers on YouTube. Within their YouTube, MPLUSPLUS shows off multiple inventions including a vision box, slide, book, flag, and more. We hope they make it through to the next round of the competition so we can see some of their other inventions. The dancers of the group have an Instagram of their own, they currently have just over 1,000 followers on this page.
There’s no knowing as to when this group originally began, but their CEO Minoru Fujimoto, has been working with the group since 2013. With technology like this, it wouldn’t surprise me if it took a while to develop their present day act. From each YouTube video, it’s clear that this group is a well oiled machine, so I can’t wait to see them on AGT.
Tune into America’s Got Talent on Tuesday, June 28 to see how the audience and judges react to this unbelievable group.
