Miley Cyrus made sure that her New Year’s Eve party was filled with plenty of surprises. On top of guest performers, throwback songs, and (now viral) accidental wardrobe malfunctions, Cyrus kept the surprises coming. While on stage, she performed a new song that she has yet to record.
I personally was overjoyed hearing Cyrus’s 2009 hit “The Climb” and was not expecting anymore than that. Instead, Cyrus decided to perform a brand new song for the audience. The singer could not release this song soon enough. With over 500,000 views on YouTube, fans are eager to get their hands on a recorded version of this song.
In the new song Cyrus talks bringing romance baggage into a new relationship. The lyrics of this tune are captivating through the way she tells her story. The song mentions wanting to do everything in the world with the new person, while also being open about how she’s not the ‘princess type’. The first performance of this song was filled with loads of passion out of the singer.
Following the performance, Cyrus shared a video of her new song to Instagram. Fans were beginning her to release the song for streaming, but the singer replied honestly to their request:
“This song is so new I haven’t even recorded it yet. just wanted to do something special for YOU all!”
Although there’s no telling as to when the singer will release this song, it’s definitely going to do well. Fans have already become obsessed, so I’m sure this song will do extremely well on the charts. I don’t think any fans of Cyrus would be mad about beginning the new year with a brand new song.
Miley’s Viral New Years Eve Wardrobe Malfunction
If you were watching Miley’s New Year’s Eve, you may have noticed an accident that occured on stage. The singer exited the stage while singing “Party in The U.S.A.” following her top malfunction. This didn’t end the show for the singer, she continued to perform amid the wardrobe change, then came back on stage in a different top.
It’s no secret that the internet loves wardrobe malfunctions, so it’s no surprise that this instance went insanely viral on social media. Videos of the singer walking off stage has gotten millions of views, especially on TikTok. I thought this instance was funny considering Cyrus handled it as well as she did. As soon as she noticed something off, she grabbed the top and began to walk off stage with ease. She even later made a joke about it on stage. It was clear that she was in good humor following the mishap.
“Get a good look at the top that didn’t stay on very long….. ” Cyrus wrote on her Instagram caption on January 1.
