Reading Time: 2 minutes
While Season 15’s The Voice is coming to a close, we’re taking a look back at some of the new elements that made this season special. For one, Jennifer Hudson was brought back as a judge. Next, the Comeback Stage was introduced and Kelsea Ballerini served as the fifth judge. And finally, we had the appearance of several big-time artists who served as mentors such as Mariah Carey, Halsey, and Keith Urban. What’s the last thing that we’ve noted differently this season? The frequent appearances of our Season 14 winner, Brynn Cartelli!

Undoubtedly, we’ve seen more of last season’s winner in the current season than another other time. For instance, Brynn’s music video was played on the show, she was at the blind auditions, got to perform on the show and even got to help mentor Team Kelly’s semifinalists. A major complaint of The Voice has been that their winners don’t receive much exposure after the show. Even past winners like Sundance Head from Season 11 tweeted about not receiving much support post-show saying, “Hey @NBCTheVoice do you remember me? I would also like to “drop by”… been patiently waiting here but we’re coming up on 2 years already.”

Unlike past contestants, We’re seeing that The Voice franchize and Kelly Clarkson have done an incredible job with keeping Brynn in the spotlight. After winning the show, Kelly said that they dropped her single Walk my Way to bridge the gap between her career on the show and post-show and keep the momentum going for Brynn’s future success. Brynn has also appeared with Kelly at different events, showing that her coach is incredibly involved in her career.
Do you think Brynn’s appearance on The Voice this season is because the producers and network have been trying to incorporate more of last seasons winner, or do you credit this change to her coach Kelly? Let us know in the comments below!
