American Idol Singers Perform Adele Songs

During Sunday’s show, the remaining singers shared their unique takes on songs by Adele. That includes Platinum Ticket winner Abi Carter, who delivered an emotional performance of “Hello” at the piano. Judge Lionel Richie told her it was “the best I’ve ever heard you.” Katy Perry said it was “on another level.”

Will Moseley also delivered an impressive performance of “Rolling in the Deep,” putting his own gritty spin on the iconic track. The judges praised him for being himself and bringing drama to the performance.

Triston Harper also put his own spin on “Easy on Me,” while Jack Blocker sang “One and Only,” and Emmy Russell took on “Water Under the Bridge.” Meanwhile, Platinum Ticket winner Julia Gagnon took on “Set Fire to the Rain,” and McKenna Faith Breinholt sang “Make You Feel My Love.”

Which Singers Made It into the Top 5?

Voting was open during the show, and at the end of the night, host Ryan Seacrest announced which singers had made it into the Top 5. Those singers were Abi Carter, Emmy Russell, Jack Blocker, Triston Harper, and Will Moseley.

We had to say goodbye to two singers — Julia Gagnon and McKenna Faith Breinholt. With Julia out of the competition, that means Abi is the only Platinum Ticket recipient left. Will she make it all the way to the finale?

The Top 5 will now head to Walt Disney World in Florida, where they’ll prepare for Disney Night with guest mentor Kane Brown. They’ll perform Disney songs during the next episode of the season, which will air next Sunday night, May 12, on ABC.
