The moment we’ve all been waiting for is finally here…American Idol will return to our television screens on March 3!
A new journey will ensue for young hopefuls that just want that golden ticket to Hollywood. Judges Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, and Luke Bryan are all apart of the cast. The core 4 will be complete with host Ryan Seacrest.
The new Idol reboot will add a fresh face into the mix. Country music radio personality Bobby Bones will sprinkle he’s knowledge and love of music throughout the entire season.
As previously reported the judges have been on the hunt for the next Idol winner and it sounds like they may have found he or she! Pop Icon Katy Perry took to Twitter and said, “We are so excited to share these new [stars] with you when @AmericanIdol returns to @ABCNetwork for season 2 on March 3!” I CAN’T WAIT. The judges also posted a little teaser to let the world know where they’re going to be on March 3.
When we started Idol last year, @LukeBryanOnline, @LionelRichie, and I wondered if there were any 💎 left in the rough. We continue to be blown away with the talent. We’re going to be right there with them on their search to find the 17th American Idol. We really can’t believe how far the show has come and can’t wait to see some of that raw talent Perry keeps gushing about.
Country mogul Luke Bryan dished on his thoughts about being a judge for his second season. Bryan told pop culture.com, “second season of Idol – I’m more excited this year because I know what to expect.” Bryan has joked in previous years about being scared about being a judge but with one season under his belt he feels unstoppable.
Swooner Lionel Richie talked to PEOPLE back in November and said that this season is going to be bigger and badder.
