Following Blake Shelton’s The Voice exit announcement, Gwen Stefani admits that she’s struggling to find the perfect retirement gift. Nevertheless, she has a hilarious idea which she believes the country star might love.
Gwen Stefani has a Unique Idea for Blake Shelton’s Gift
Gwen Stefani is ultimately the best person to ask about everything Blake Shelton, including his gift preferences. However, even his wife is running out of ideas. In a recent interview with ET Canada, Stefani reveals the present she might give to Shelton amid his send-off from The Voice.
“This is crazy ’cause everyone’s coming after me for ideas, ‘What should we do?’ and it’s hard, you know, he has everything,” she said. “I think his favorite thing would be a bag of corn, like honestly, he would be so thrilled. Or fertilizer or something like that.”
That might sound funny, but we do see where the No Doubt singer is coming from. For those who may not know, the country star is out riding a tractor on his farm in Oklahoma when he’s not on The Voice.
Last April, Shelton casually shared to his fans that he planted corn crops earlier than expected. He also gave a farm update back in September. Consequently, with how invested Shelton is with farming, a bag of corn totally makes a great gift.
She Says The Voice Has Been “Really Relaxed” This Season
Currently, Stefani and Shelton are battling it out in The Voice season 22. The first Live Playoffs had just ended, with Team Blake proceeding to the next round unscathed. Meanwhile, Team Gwen lost Kevin Hawkins during the public-voted Instant Save sing-off.
As the competition nears the Finale, Stefani holds that “you’ll never know who’s gonna rise.” Nonetheless, she believes that her team has a shot at winning this season.
“I just know that I have an incredible team this season,” she said. “I always do, but I feel like there’s something really different about this season overall, I feel like it’s been a really relaxed season.”
Furthermore, Stefani said that she felt no pressure when it comes to pressing her button during the Blinds. However, she also admits to messing with Shelton at the time, while also intentionally following his taste.
The competition has to go on without Shelton after The Voice’s upcoming season 23. Several fans are evidently sad about the news, but some believed that it’s the country star’s time to step down.
The Voice won’t be the same without Blake..
