The ‘American Song Contest’ Is A Eurovision Spinoff

‘Eurovision’ is an annual international song competition where participating countries submit original songs to be performed on the show. It is the longest-running international television music competition. Not to mention it is a huge hit worldwide with over 200 million viewers each year. The American Song Contest will have similar rules to the European version. According to Yahoo! Entertainment, “Professional musical artists — solo singers, duos or groups up to six members — from each of the 50 states and across every musical genre will perform all original songs on the live televised event.” The artists will be put in head to head battles with the winners moving on to the next round until they make it to the grand finale.
