‘American Idol’ Alum Catie Turner Posts Audition Video for ‘The Bachelor’

Will Catie Turner be accepting a rose any time soon? The American Idol alum just posted an audition video for The Bachelor on Instagram. Fingers crossed that she uses her connections at ABC so we could potentially see another show crossover in the future.

Catie’s audition video actually uses a text-to-speech narrator because she is on vocal rest. She has spent months preparing for the release of her EP, Heartbroken and Milking It under Atlantic Records. After a warm reception of all six of her funky tracks, Catie is ready to tackle another television show adventure.
“Not only am I dripping in sex appeal, but I’m a musician which means I can serenade men so I can be the villain and be there for the wrong reasons,” the video says.
Catie already has the right idea about every season having a villain. The group of contestants usually determines that one person is on the show for “the wrong reasons.” Season 17 of The Bachelorette recently saw the men calling out Thomas Jacobs for only coming on the show for a chance at being The Bachelor.
Is Catie Ready to Find Love on Television?
Musicians have always also gotten a bad rep throughout The Bachelor franchise. The general consensus among fans is that musicians only go on the show to promote their music and not to find love. Most notoriously known for doing this is Dancing with the Stars winner Hannah Brown’s former fiancé Jed Wyatt.
Catie’s fellow Season 16 American Idol alum Trevor Holmes is actually a member of The Bachelor franchise. Katy Perry’s former crush was one of the contestants on The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart last year. He finished the season as the runner-up with Jamie Weintraub. This proves that it is possible for an American Idol contestant to join the televised quest for love.
Catie previously dated Zach D’Onofrio who she met when she auditioned for American Idol in 2018. She came to support him when he auditioned again for Season 19 this year. A bunch of TikTok videos suggested that the couple ended things this year. Catie’s audition for The Bachelor is further proof that she is ready to move on and find a new flame.
