After captivating us with their awkwardly adorable romance that blossomed on Season 16 of American Idol, it appears that Catie Turner And Zach D’Onofrio have called it quits. Fans on social media continue to reference a TikTok video that points to signs of infidelity and mistrust between the two. Ultimately, it looks like this led to a break up.

Zach re-auditioned for American Idol this season after failing to make it past Hollywood Week the first time around. Catie joined Zach for moral support at his audition this time and the judges were so obsessed with their romance. It seemed like things were really going well for the two.
After a huge hiatus from posting Instagram pictures together, everyone is wondering what the status of their relationship is. The pair no longer follow each other on Instagram, a tell-tale sign that something is up. Fans flood the comments section on both of their Instagram accounts continuously asking about their suspected breakup.
Catie allegedly posted a since-deleted TikTok video actually addressing the split. Several fans have alluded to the video in the comments section whenever someone asks about the status of Catie and Zach’s relationship.
A second video she posted also points to her being single after getting cheated on.

There is a new TikTok trend going around where couples post pictures from every month or year of their relationship. Catie hopped on the trend, but only posted pictures of her hand.
Catie and Zach Have Both Come Out With New Music Recently
Catie is always posting videos on TikTok singing songs she wrote. Lately, they’ve definitely had some subliminal messages hidden in them all pointing toward a break up. She sings the lyrics “you’re pissed that I went through your phone/but I’m pissed because you never came home.”

Zach released his own song “Don’t Leave” in mid-April. It sounds like it could be a break up anthem or a response to the songs Catie has been posting.
While it doesn’t seem like Zach and Catie’s American Idol romance has withstood the test of time, there are a few couples that are still together after competing on the show.
