Former America’s Got Talent: Extreme judge Nikki Garcia is once again sharing her post-divorce life with the world. For those who may have missed it, three months ago, Garcia divorced from former Dancing With The Stars pro Artem Chigvinstev.
Nikki Garcia Only Wants Love, Not Marriage
On March 13, Garcia appeared beside her twin sister, Brie, at Kristin Cavallari’s New York City stop on her Let’s Be Honest podcast live tour. At the event, Cavallari asked Nikki if she’s “still open to love” at the moment. Garcia replied, explaining that she’s open to “love and not marriage.”
The podcast host then asked if the former WWE star would ever get married again. Garcia then went on to explain that she doesn’t “wanna sign paperwork again.”
For those who may not know, Cavallari is also divorced. The former Dancing With The Stars celebrity was married to NFL quarterback Jay Cutler for seven years. They divorced in 2020. While discussing her own divorce, Cavallari said getting married is “so easy to do and so hard to get out of.”
Garcia agreed with Cavallari, saying that she used to think about how her marriage felt like she was “in prison.”
Regardless, Garcia isn’t quite ready to put herself out there just yet, she is “almost ready.” Right now, Garcia is “definitely open to love for sure.”
Garcia, Chigvinstev Settled Their Divorce, Dropped Restraining Orders
In November 2024, it was reported that Garcia and Chigvinstev settled their divorce. At the time, TMZ reported that they went to a mediation and agreed upon a divorce settlement. The sources at the time shared that the couple wanted to settle things quickly to “avoid further expenses and allow them to move on.”
Alongside the settlement, both Garcia and Chigvinstev’s restraining orders have been dropped.
“Both parties decided to drop the domestic violence restraining orders against each other in an effort to move on with their lives and effectively co-parent their son,” Garcia’s rep shared in their statement on the settlement.
For those who may not remember, Garcia and Chigvinstev met in 2017 while competing on Dancing With The Stars. They welcomed their son Matteo in 2020 and tied the knot in 2022.
