America’s Got Talent Season 20 Starts Filming This Week
AGT is shaking things up for Season 20, as former judge Mel B returns to the judging panel to replace Heidi Klum, who won’t be returning this year. The show’s auditions are set to start filming this Friday, March 14, at Pasadena Civic Auditorium.
According to On Camera Audiences, there will be two tapings per day on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Filming for the new season will continue throughout the rest of March. Fans can submit their information to receive free tickets to attend the tapings.
The site also teases that there will be raffles throughout the audition tapings, with prizes including gift cards to Amazon, Starbucks, and Chipotle, as well as cash at select tapings. Attendees at the show’s tapings must be at least 8 years old.

When Does the New Season Premiere?
AGT auditions are prerecorded, so fans who don’t attend the tapings will have to wait a little longer to see the new season on TV. Season 20 is scheduled to premiere on Tuesday, May 27, on NBC. Episodes will also be available to stream the next day on Peacock.
Along with Mel B, judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, and Sofia Vergara will be back this season, as well as the show’s longtime host Terry Crews. In the first part of the season, they’ll be watching auditions from hopeful talents and deciding who should move on.
This season will also feature several Golden Buzzer acts. Last season, the show played fast and loose with how many Golden Buzzers the judges could press. It’s not clear yet what the rules will be this season.
